The discussion will take place in the library’s Auditorium on the second floor. \nThe lecture will include a brief presentation followed by a screening of “Lina Mangiacapre: Artista del femminismo”* [Lina Mangiacapre: Artist of Feminism]\, a 40-minute docufilm by Nadia Pizzuti. Pizzuti provides an artistic glimpse into the art\, philosophy\, and lives of Lina Mangiacapre and her fellow avant-garde artists in Naples. The film folds together varied audiovisual material\, including: clips from Mangiacapre’s short and feature films\, manifestos\, interviews\, photography\, painting\, poetry\, and more. \nAbout Hilary Emerson: \nHilary Emerson is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Coordinator of Italian at the University of Rhode Island.
