Her process for creating her work very often begins with a pencil and ends with a 3D printer. \nThe scope of Heather’s artistic endeavors is ever evolving and includes painting\, character creation\, story telling\, illustration\, animation\, and 3D printing. She is the author and illustrator of The Adventures of Gerry the Grasshopper and The Tale of the Fox & the Cricket as well as the author and illustrator of a series of stories which she compiled into a book called Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales. This series was based on eight mixed media figures she created. Heather turned one of these characters called the Dandy into an animated short which was featured in the New Haven International Film Festival and the 401 Film Fest\, both in 2019. DESCRIPTION:The Voice of Gertrude Stein \nThree Sisters Who Are Not Sisters \nMay 14 at 7 pm \nHighlighting Gertrude Stein’s legacy as an American LGBTQIA icon\, prolific artist\, and feminist Jewish writer. The program includes Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters\, a One-Act opera by Ned Rorem and Art Songs with texts by Gertrude Stein and music by Ned Rorem\, Daron Hagen\, Virgil Thomson\, Peter Dayton & Felix Jarrar. Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters is a surrealist\, non-linear opera. Three “not” sisters and two biological brothers suffer from acute boredom\, which they choose to alleviate by playing a game of murder\, and the lights go out. When the lights come back on\, they are as they were at the beginning\, and Jenny tells all of them it is time to go to sleep. \n  \nTickets: Choose your own price based on our new pricing system for all of our performances. \nStandard ticket price is $30. \n$40 tickets are available for anyone who can afford to support the theater a little extra. \n$20 tickets are available for folks for whom $30 is just a bit too much right now. \n$10 tickets are available for anyone 25 & under and anyone who needs them. \nClick here to learn more about our new ticket prices. \nProcessing Fees: $2.50 per ticket online \n*No fees apply to tickets purchased by phone at (401) 218-0282 or in person at the theater.
