That project liberated Nail and propelled him into his next adventure. Writing solo for the next few months led to his debut solo independent EP “Oh\, Mother”\, a reflective piece of work. That release was followed by Bootheel 2020\, a project dedicated to the singer/songwriter’s hometown in the “bootheel” of Missouri. Nail plans on releasing more music throughout 2021\, leaving behind any self-imposed restrictions. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a flute and piano recital in our Auditorium! John Graham and John Curran will be playing flutes\, with Sara Boyd on piano. The program will be as follows: \nAn Evening in the Village Bela Bartok \nCanon Johann Pachelbel \nReverie Claude Debussy \nScherzino Joachim Andersen \nSuite Modale Ernest Bloch \nModerato; L’istesso tempo; Allegro giocoso; Adagio-Allegro \nFantaisie Gabriel Faure \nFlower Duet from Lakme Leo Delibes \nCarillon from L’Arlesienne Georges Bizet \nAbout the musicians: \nJohn Curran performed with the RI Philharmonic Orchestra from 1965-2004\, and was Principal Flute with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. Presently he is Principal Flutist with the Narragansett Bay Symphony\, and the Ocean State Summer Pops Orchestra. \nJohn Graham\, a Westerly native\, graduated from WHS in 1966. He furthered his musical education at URI receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 1970. He taught music in the West Warwick Public Schools from 1970-2000. From 2000-2010 he taught 4th grade at St. Thomas School in Providence. John has performed with the RI Philharmonic\, The Eastern Connecticut Symphony\, the American Band and the Pipe Dream Flute Choir. His hobbies include attending WHS sporting events and cuddling with his Yorkie-poo\, Sidney. \nSara Boyd received her Bacherlor of Music degree from Wesminster Choir College in Princeton\, NJ in 2015. In addition she holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Piano from the University of California at Irvine. Throughout her degree she received merit based funding and monthly stipends to teach group piano and accompany undergraduate recitals at the University.
