SUMMARY:George Washington’s Teeth
DESCRIPTION:George Washington’s Teeth\nFri Apr 29\, 2022 – Sat May 14\, 2022\nThis zany new comedy follows the exploits of the struggling New Bunion Historical Society as its members battle the city council to keep the doors open and prevent being banished to the basement of the town’s senior center. With time running out to renew their lease\, the Society’s three female members must find creative ways to snare new associates and lure visitors to their sleepy New England town. When a set of George Washington’s dentures turns up in the hands of an unexpected rival\, the ladies brace themselves for all-out war. Heartfelt and some-what historic\, this new madcap comedy proves that our differences don’t divide us\, they make us stronger.

SUMMARY:Moonglow matinee (final show of the run)
DESCRIPTION:Moonglow\nBy Jack Neary\nDirected by Jack Neary\nProduced by Players’ Ring Theatre \nIt’s 1967. Ray Healy is a music teacher and a marching band leader in his parish. At 50\, he’s single\, he’s highly respected\, and he leads a quiet life. Arlene Hodge\, 45\, assists him with the marching band\, and would like to get closer to him. She’s heard a rumor that he had been married years ago\, but that’s something he never discusses. As one of his students says\, Ray is a “big question mark.” Arlene sets out to answer that question\, and when she does\, she finds herself embroiled in a dilemma she never thought she’d have the courage to confront. But she believes Ray is worth it. Question is\, does Ray believe that himself? \nPeripheral characters include a funny\, smart-as-a-whip music student\, plus Ray’s first wife\, and a neighborhood mom with a sharp tongue who has her own designs on the music teacher. \nIt’s a play about choices made at a young age which perhaps irrevocably affect an individual’s later life. The question asked along the way is… what will survive? Love or a man’s strict belief system? In 1967\, this was a real question. And\, in some ways\, it remains a question today. \nFridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm\nSaturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm \nOur neighbor “Puddle Dock” restaurant is offering a 10% discount on food and free parking to Players’ Ring patrons! Visit their website to reserve\, and present your ticket when you ask for your check. \nGeneral Admission: $25\nSeniors (65+): $22\nStudents: $22\nThis show is included in our subscription packages.
